I was lucky to attend the Olympics this past summer in Paris. This was a trip I will never forget. I attended numerous track and field events. Since I am a pole vaulter, I am most involved in this sports area. This is a picture of me outside Stade de France, the Olympic stadium for track and field events.
This picture is at the USA house. Here, I met current and past Olympians. It was cool that one of the torches used in the Paris Olympics was on display. During my history class this semester, we discussed the origin of the Olympics. One of the continued traditions is the torch lighting that begins its journey from Greece to where the Olympics is held.
